Sending EMail From APRS

The APRS Internet network now has the ability to send email to any internet address. This feature may be used by an user, whether registered or not, and whether conencted by internet or RF portions of the network.

At the present, these messages are limited to the length of a single line, including the email address, roughly 65 characters. We are working on removing this limitation.

To do this, the user simply sends a message to "EMAIL", and the body of the message begins with the recpient's email address, a space, and then the text of the message. Below is what the message creation dialog looks like:

The message will be ACKed by the email server as soon as it is received, then a short time later you should receive a message from the server stating whether the delievery was successful. The message the recpient receives looks like this:
